I have been an Art Teacher or over 40 yrs and I strive to teach children to think imaginatively, creatively and responsibly. I designed these 3D creatures because they are fantastic for keeping children of all ages engaged in the activity. They not only color in and decorate their chosen creature but I also give them the option to create a home for them using small boxes, or paper plates. Teachers and workshop facilitators love them too because these 3D Creatures are designed to be low prep, and low cost. I have also made the cutting lines simple with no tricky edges to cut. Older children will be able to cut these out with no problem. You might need to cut them out for younger children but as the edges are simple you will be able to cut out a few at a time.
These are the perfect activity for Camps, Schools, Art Workshops, or for the Home. Just print out, color in and cut. Then let children have great fun using their imagination to design homes, beds, food, etc for their creature, keeping them entertained for hours.

How to make;
After purchasing you will be sent a PDF of your chosen 3D Printable. Open pdf and select the number of the page you want to print. You will be sent plain, black and white patterned and color versions. If you are using this for a children's activity and you want children to be entertained for some time then I would recommend the black and white patterned version for them to colour in. If you want to just give it as a ready made item then select the coloured in version. If you want children to use their own pattern or design then choose the plain version. Older children are well able to cut these out themselves as the lines are very simple and have no tricky details. You might want to cut them out yourself for younger children but as the cutting lines are simple you can cut 2 or 3 sheets at a time. I recommend you use CARDSTOCK for this project and not paper.
To make this activity even more engaging, I would recommend giving children a small box or paper plate to decorate as a home for their creature. When I do these in my studio children really enjoy this addition and this can keep then entertained for over an hour.
